For many of us, blogging is a time pass, hobby or a routine. Other few, like journalists, consider it as a part of their profession. Blogging not only need an enthusiasm but also some writing skills and artistic talents. That is, you can choose a unique subject for your blog, neatly present and publish posts in regular intervals. It is possible to use and customize blogger templates or even download and apply templates as HTML codes as you wish. I was talking about the possibilities of blogging. Actually it is huge. A blogger should give attention from the bottom line of choosing a blog name and title to the new self designed templates. But here we can narrow our topic only to images that we using in blogs.
You think, using image in a blog is simple. Yes, it is simple. Chose an image, size it, and give a caption, done. The proper use of images will change the blog’s look. But, I was talking about one of the major doubts many bloggers aroused. That is how to delete an image from blogger. Wait, Wait! You think it is very easy to delete an image, just select it from a blog post and press remove option shown from the option panel bellow the image. OK, fine. It is deleted from the post, but not from your blogger account. The image is still there in your account that you can see at the image import window. By choosing ‘image from blog’ you can see the images you have uploaded from the beginning of the time.
Ho, no. There are many images which we do not want anymore, and many of them are sensitive and it should be removed, isn’t it? We can only select the image there but no option to delete. What to do?
Here comes our real question that, how can we delete an image from blogger?
Well, we can correct the question like this. How can we delete an image from our Google account?
Yes, in fact, we upload an image to our Google account. We know about Picasa Web Albums. Most of us are using it to organize our personal images offline or online. Now the answer becomes clear. The images we upload are organised in Picasa Web Albums attached to our Google account. So just open Picasa Web Albums (picasaweb.google.com), and see images that we uploaded with our Google account. It is organised in a manner that, ‘Profile Photos’, ‘Blogger Pictures’ and so on, under different tabs like, 'Home', 'My Photos', 'Explore' etc. Choose the album where our image to be deleted. Select and open the image and click on ‘actions’ button and press 'delete this photo'. You will be asked for confirmation, authenticate it. The image or images will be deleted.
This method will permanently delete images which you no more needed from your Google account. By doing this you can avoid duplication, save space, and organise the images.
